PRESERVED HEARTS

On Versus October edition, G.H.O.S.T's 'lilith necklace' was seen in 'EVER MINE' fashion spread. We really love the dark concept of Thornandes James and the photographs of Giovanni R. It was about a mysterious young woman who collects preserved human guests in her lair. Our piece was paired with Sapto Djokokartiko's lace top and Mel Ahyar's dress. Here is the whole spread.

From 13-17 July 2010, DKV Bina Nusantara University will launch their annual plaza design*. It is an event where the students exhibit their projects and creative seminars are held.

We were invited to share our love of our job as G.H.O.S.T council on a Thursday 15th July 2010, 10:30 - 11:00. We were so honored to be presented with many other great creative figures, such as BENNY & MICE, Singgih Kartono , Ario Kiswinar Teguh (Paper Sculpture workshop), TROMARAMA, Thinking*room , Darbotz , Dibyokusumo. BLACK DIAMOND

Two months ago, we were asked by Shahnaz Soraya, our friend to collaborate on her final project. She's having a diploma in ESMOD Jakarta. Her collection was inspired by the architectural lines and shapes. We made necklaces, brooch and bags embellished with genuine swarovski crystals. It's quite challenging since we never made bags and use crystals as the jewelry decoration. But we really enjoyed it and learned a lot from this.

We are so very excited, last night her collection won the best judge award on the ESMOD 'Archipelago' show. Congratulations Inez!

DECAYING CORPSES on SOEMARDJA GALLERY

Recreate x reality x representation is the third 15x15x15 exhibition, organized by KGB ( Keluarga Grafis Berseni) ITB. This exhibition is unique due to it’s particular rules : the size of the artworks is not more than 15x15x15 cm. The first and the second mini art project was curated by Albert Yonathan held in 2007 and 2008 titled “Scale” which focused on how artist compromise with the size of the artworks and “Metaphoria” that focused in the discourse of metaphor. This time, the problem of ‘representation’ is offered as the big theme to be responded by the participant.

The process of making art can be seen as man’s effort to approach reality. The development of new way of representation is important due to it’s function as human’s effort to interpret and examine reality. This needs, encourage the fostering of alternative theories and modes of representation. Seeing the problem of representation as a basic issues in the process of art creation, 15x15x15 Mini Art Project no # 3 : Recreate x Reality x Representation intend to summarize Bandung’s young artists visions where the artist could depart from the interest of medium, technology and knowledge. This exhibition intends to offer the actual way of seeing realities from young artists, and an examination of artist’s point of interest today.

This time G.H.O.S.T will exhibit with other 70 artists, over 150 artworks of various medium will be featured in this exhibition.
