G.H.O.S.T on Syle Bubble

There has been a surprise in the beginning of this month. Last week G.H.O.S.T was featured in Susie Bubble's blog, an independent fashion blogger from UK. She was photographed wearing 'Leviathan' necklace, a special item made just for her.

Here's what Susie says about our piece,

'I will provide a wee nugget though that centres around this beautiful ode to hiking/bungee ropes and acrylic by G.H.O.S.T., a jewellery label that again I discovered through a random, small-world meeting with someone who bore me gifts all the way from Indonesia. This is from the Ghost and the Temple of Shadows collection which has other ropey treats (I of course mean that in the BEST way possible...)'

G.H.O.S.T in 'ODDS&ENDS'

On Last August, our necklace was seen on AMICA magazine. It was a tribute spread for Alexander McQueen. We were astonished by the result. The photographs were amazing. It is a privilege for us, that our pieces were paired with Sapto Djokokartiko's mini dress.

'Odds And Ends is actually my personal ambition to pay respect and commemorate The Great Alexander McQueen. I invited six local Indonesian designers to pay a tribute to Alexander MQueen by making a creation that inspired by his works infused by Indonesian heritage values and not forgetting thei personal style of designs. The result are breathtaking with epic background of metal recycling junkyard in Cilegon.

Adrian Gan creating a dramatic collars and constructed dress the signature of McQueen from Indonesia weaving mixed with rattan embellishment. Adesagi Kirana chose McQueen's knits drapery and mixed with his pretty romantic style big Rosette from stiffed tulle. Sapto Djokokartiko creating a superb handcrafts ruffle dress from traditional fan made from sandalwood. Andreas Odang inspired by McQueen's perfect tailoring. G.H.O.S.T jueleire took the youth and fun part of McQ labels, the infamous skulls. And lastly, Irsan creating a molded leather bustier tops with dramatic big ruffles skirt as his grief of McQueen's tragic death. While I specifically decided to mashed all the collections and sadness from Spring Summer 2009 collection look.'

G.H.O.S.T vs THE COBRA SNAKE

the Cobra Snakee a.k.a Mark hunter, is a Los Angeles based photographer. During the last seven years he's been travelling around the globe photographing the subcultures partying at concerts, club events, festivals, and openings. With an open and enthusiastic gaze, he zooms in on an innovative and creative nightlife, that accepts all kinds of people and styles. Last Friday/30.07.10 he came to Jakarta to throw a party at DOMAIN. He was seen in G.H.O.S.T 'high priestess' necklace.

HIDE AND SEEK

On Last March, our 'Band of the Witches' Lilith was seen wrapped on Imogen Heap's* neck. It was exhilarating!! Her songs have been our most favorite since we were in the second year of college. And later on her first appearance on the stage, surprisingly she wore Yesy's JVSTIFY kimono.

What a double treat indeed.

That night was such a blessing for us.

We love her so much!

*)Imogen heap is a Grammy Award-winning British singer and songwriter frm Romford, Havering. She is known not only for her work as part of Frou Frou but also her solo albums which she writes, produces and mixes.

On last November 2009, we met Yvan Rodic, the man behind Facehunter- a blog that captures people style on the street. He shot one of our collection, 'akuma' and posted it to his visual diary. Thanks Yvan!

MISSHAPED

On Swank Glossy jan-Feb 2010 edition, G.H.O.S.T 'tengoku' necklace were spotted on Geordon Nicol of the the Misshapes*. We're so excited!! Woot woot!! They were also wearing some local brands, like Priyo Oktaviano, Eduard Hutabarat, FAR, Majic and DOUCHE.

*)The Misshapes are a New York City-based DJ trio composed of Geordon Nicol, Leigh Lezark and Greg Krelenstein. Beginning in 2003, the trio cultivated a large following when they brought to downtown New York City the dance party, "Misshapes". On September 8 2007 after a successful 4 year run, the trio discontinued Misshapes as a weekly party. Since then, the trio continues to DJ and have done several outside projects, including a style book; Misshapes(Nicol, 2008), published by MTV Press, remixes for indie rock and electronica bands and film soundtracking, and have been involved in fashion journalism and photography.

G.H.O.S.T 'Land of the Rising Sun' campaign-ad .

We fell deeply in love with Hedi Slimane's 'Land of The Rising Sun' photos that we ended up thinking to make something to commemorate it, all in honour of Mr. Slimane's creations. We wanted to do something really comprehensive with this theme, which is why we divided them into 2 colections; part 1, featuring a more abstract and geometric shapes and part 2, where we focus more on bringing the Japanese modern way.

We successfully sold a number of these items during last September's Brightspot market, though we do still have several left.For those of you who are interested in getting them, email us as soon as possible so that we can send you the photos of the last remaining items! Hurry, while stocks last!
