Last week we had a phone call from KOMPAS newspaper to submit an artwork for its article on sunday 30 May 2010 edition. We were excited yet surprised by its tight deadline. At that time we're kinda' busy preparing some artworks for the next exhibiton of '15x15x15' in Bandung. But in the end we managed to get it printed, although we barely breathing. According to the KOMPAS man, they're going to exhibit it with many other 2010 published illustrations next year. We're really looking forward to it.

DECAYING CORPSES on SOEMARDJA GALLERY

Recreate x reality x representation is the third 15x15x15 exhibition, organized by KGB ( Keluarga Grafis Berseni) ITB. This exhibition is unique due to it’s particular rules : the size of the artworks is not more than 15x15x15 cm. The first and the second mini art project was curated by Albert Yonathan held in 2007 and 2008 titled “Scale” which focused on how artist compromise with the size of the artworks and “Metaphoria” that focused in the discourse of metaphor. This time, the problem of ‘representation’ is offered as the big theme to be responded by the participant.

The process of making art can be seen as man’s effort to approach reality. The development of new way of representation is important due to it’s function as human’s effort to interpret and examine reality. This needs, encourage the fostering of alternative theories and modes of representation. Seeing the problem of representation as a basic issues in the process of art creation, 15x15x15 Mini Art Project no # 3 : Recreate x Reality x Representation intend to summarize Bandung’s young artists visions where the artist could depart from the interest of medium, technology and knowledge. This exhibition intends to offer the actual way of seeing realities from young artists, and an examination of artist’s point of interest today.

This time G.H.O.S.T will exhibit with other 70 artists, over 150 artworks of various medium will be featured in this exhibition.

HIDE AND SEEK

On Last March, our 'Band of the Witches' Lilith was seen wrapped on Imogen Heap's* neck. It was exhilarating!! Her songs have been our most favorite since we were in the second year of college. And later on her first appearance on the stage, surprisingly she wore Yesy's JVSTIFY kimono.

What a double treat indeed.

That night was such a blessing for us.

We love her so much!

*)Imogen heap is a Grammy Award-winning British singer and songwriter frm Romford, Havering. She is known not only for her work as part of Frou Frou but also her solo albums which she writes, produces and mixes.

G.H.O.S.T x YVAN RODIC

On last November 2009, we met Yvan Rodic, the man behind Facehunter- a blog that captures people style on the street. He shot one of our collection, 'akuma' and posted it to his visual diary. Thanks Yvan!

MISSHAPED

On Swank Glossy jan-Feb 2010 edition, G.H.O.S.T 'tengoku' necklace were spotted on Geordon Nicol of the the Misshapes*. We're so excited!! Woot woot!! They were also wearing some local brands, like Priyo Oktaviano, Eduard Hutabarat, FAR, Majic and DOUCHE.

*)The Misshapes are a New York City-based DJ trio composed of Geordon Nicol, Leigh Lezark and Greg Krelenstein. Beginning in 2003, the trio cultivated a large following when they brought to downtown New York City the dance party, "Misshapes". On September 8 2007 after a successful 4 year run, the trio discontinued Misshapes as a weekly party. Since then, the trio continues to DJ and have done several outside projects, including a style book; Misshapes(Nicol, 2008), published by MTV Press, remixes for indie rock and electronica bands and film soundtracking, and have been involved in fashion journalism and photography.
